WHO WE ARE
Electroguard was founded and started as literally a one-man operation. The founder and CEO started in the business as a security camera monitor working for a large company live monitoring cameras on overnight shifts. While working this job, he quickly saw the potential in the live video monitoring solution and all the value it could provide in the marketplace. The only problem was that every time he brought up new technologies or methodology he was always told, “we’ve always done it this way…” Like much of the security industry, this company was too big, too slow, and too greedy to provide the best solutions for its clients.
This was not good enough for Electroguard’s founder. He knew there had to be a better way. So, in 2013, once he got his tax return, he quit working for the big tone-deaf security company and started his own humble live video monitoring operation. He used his contacts from working in the auto industry to earn a couple of car dealers as clients and he sold them new cameras, installed those cameras, and then monitored them nightly for a year. He only slept a couple of hours but his desire to prove that he could do better for the marketplace kept him going. Little by little word spread about the quality of the monitoring, customer service, and new camera technologies. The years have passed and now Electroguard has grown to monitor thousands of cameras every night and has a loyal following of happy customers that grows by the day.
The point of this story is not to inflate the ego of Electroguard’s founder but to paint a portrait of a client obsessed culture at Electroguard. Our approach to the marketplace is one of extreme ownership when it comes to customer service. We approach every new opportunity with our new potential client in mind. We err on the side of our client’s protection, not selling more equipment or hours.
Electroguard is owned managed and run by people like our founder who have been security guards, camera monitors, installers, IT professionals, and other associated trades who know what does and doesn’t work when it comes to providing performance and value to our customers.
